This Salva has historic importance as it is a retirement leaving gift from Standard Vacuum Oil to James H Macdonald. 

James H Macdonald was of Scottish origins and helped with the founding of Standard Oil The famous Rockefeller Oil company, later becoming head of European operations.

The Salva carries the signatures of all of his close colleagues.
